ENCAD, Inc. (Nasdaq NM. ENCD), a
world-class innovator in digital image printing technology, announces a
product and marketing alliance with PINEBUSH Technologies, Inc., a leading
supplier of high performance Computer Aided Design (CAD) and scientific
printing and plotting software controllers and applications. This CAD alliance
provides CAD users, scientists, GIS professionals, engineers and others with
ENCAD's newly introduced, top-of-the-line CADJET® 3D
printer bundled with PINEBUSH's Raster Image Processor (RIP)
software ENCAD branded as V/R Xpress. The two
products work in conjunction
to provide many printing advantages over existing solutions, including
the ability to print unlimited size input files and (optionally) unlimited
size output images with extremely high image quality and no loss of processing
speed. For its users, this means clear, easy-to-see images on even the
most detailed designs, drawings, renderings or maps. The alliance will
also focus on joint marketing activities between the 2 companies, such
as tradeshows, seminars, and programs.
The
CADJET 3D is built on the recent technical advances of ENCAD's NovaJet
printers. Using ENCAD's new MicroBurst technology, it quickly prints
high quality line drawings and exceptional full color 3D images, renderings,
and maps on both bond and photo-gloss media. In Super Draft Mode, the 36
inch (0.92 meters) printer operates at extremely fast speeds of over 200
square feet per hour (sfph)(18.5 square meters per hour). It also boasts
a resolution of 600 x 300 dpi with remarkable life-like color. The CADJET
3D is also capable of 600 x 600 dpi color printing in Draft Mode speed
of 95 sfph (8.8 smph), Normal Mode speed of 66 sfph (6.1 smph) and Best
Mode speed of 50 sfph (4.6 smph).
V/R
Xpress, based on proven technology from PINEBUSH Technologies' HyperXpress
and HyperPlot printing and plotting software, significantly reduces plotting
time for complex images containing both raster and vector components while
providing extremely high image quality. V/R Xpress (available standalone
or in optional floating and server configurations) is also being introduced
for ENCAD's line of CADJET II and Croma24™ series plotters.
