In conjunction with the AutoDesk Design World show, PINEBUSH
Technologies today formally introduced the
HyperXpress®
series of high-performance Raster Image Processing (RIP) software, designed
specifically for Windows workstations.
The first product in the new line, HyperXac, integrates seamlessly into the
AutoCAD IDE and allows the plotting of complex images containing vector
data combined with raster data. According to Ray Wood, VP Worldwide Sales
& Marketing at PINEBUSH, HyperXac will initially support AutoCAD release
14.01 and AutoCAD Map R3 running on Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 workstations.
"AutoCAD
raster image data, when overlaid with large amounts of vector data, can
create files too large and complex to be printed - even with the large
disk space and memory of modern plotters." HyperXpress solves this
problem by utilizing the power of the workstation to fully rasterize the
image before printing, enabling any device to print at its highest rated
speed. Unlimited size printouts can be produced on all desktop and
large format plotters using an automatic tiling feature. HyperXpress
also includes a WYSIWYG print previewer that allows users to view, validate
and modify the rasterized image before sending it to the printer, thus
saving time, paper and ink wasted on bad printouts.
